WORKSHOPS

** NOT NOW STUDIO IS ON INDEFINATE HIATUS AS OF JANUARY 2022 **

A big part of what I try to do with Not Now Studio is focus more on building a community, rather than putting all my energy into profits and sales. The majority of the retail world is unethical, corrupt and absolutely not a culture I'm interested in being a part of. I hope that by sharing the skills I have with others, I can in some small way help to give the power back to artists. I believe craft should be open to everyone and want to abolish the unnecessary gatekeeper-esque attitude around sharing knowledge in the art world.

It's for this reason that I love running print workshops, both by myself and also with my studio pals Jacknife Prints and 16 Tonne Press.

Me and my studio pals run monthly print courses in our fully equipped studio in The Island. There are 4 places per course and everyone that attends goes away with 30 of their own 3 colour prints. This course runs on Wednesday evenings (6:30 - 9:30) and is most popular with individual artists who want to learn the craft and make something of their own design.

We also offer group sessions for collectives / businesses who want to do a print workshop together. These workshops are specific to the needs of the group and can be adapted to suit your schedule and budget. These workshops can be run using all the equipment in our studio OR on-site using portable print beds if you prefer.

I also like to take these portable print beds and run my own informal live printing workshops at art events and shows. These workshops are smaller in scale to the ones I run with my pals in the studio and serve as a basic introduction into screen printing. The equipment can be set up in pretty much any size space and they're a well nice way of added an interactive element to your event. I've run live printing workshops at events such as Shake Bristol, Semi Nice Art Fair, BCZF, Deadpunk Art Fair, Creative Differences Art Market and many many more.

If you wanna learn more about the process, like the idea of experimenting with handmade print or just have a few questions, then drop me an email at [email protected] and we can work out what kind of workshop is best for you!!
